Involved by CSR issues, CDS Groupe continues to deploy new functionalities to support and accommodate its corporate and travel agency clients in their sustainable initiatives.
Therefore, the user can now easily select, via the booking tool filter, hotels with electric vehicle recharging stations. In addition, the marketplace gives the user the opportunity to easily identify the availability of an electric recharge station within the establishment in the hotel profile.
“With the growing success of electric car rentals and in order to answer the needs of our customers, we have asked our partner CDS Groupe to identify hotels that have a recharging point for electric cars in their parking lot.
Three days after our request, CDS Groupe added this information to its offer in order to increase the level of satisfaction of my clients while supporting these common clients in their CSR approach”, explains Jean-Marcel Michonet, General Manager of Vairon Voyages.
CDS Groupe is putting CSR at the heart of its sourcing strategy and purchasing policy. The group is willing to share with the hotels the corporate clients’ awareness in terms of CSR and, reciprocally, it informs clients of the concrete actions implemented by the hotels, in particular the ecolabels and safety measures taken for travellers and the companies that employ them.
Moreover, a real “green” traveller journey has been deployed within the booking tool named “Switch for green” which allows access to the database of eco-labelled hotels and the identification of hotels providing rooms for people with limited mobility, as well as the introduction of voice speakers for deaf people and hard of hearing.
“The electric terminals represent a real challenge for our central purchasing office and are perfectly aligned with our CSR group strategy. We have referenced two suppliers within The Originals Shop: Rexel and M-Borne, a specialist in this sector. This is a profitable and forward-looking investment. Moreover, the terminals are referenced on Google Maps and this strengthens the image and the visibility of our establishments,” says Elisabeth Sirou, E-distribution & Corporate Sales Manager at The Originals.
In January 2022, CDS Groupe signed the Responsible Supplier Relations and Purchasing charter, with the aim of extending its own commitments and supporting the transformation of the purchasing behavior of the actors in its ecosystem. Since then, the RFAR charter and the perspective of certification have become a real company project. They have been a powerful tool for mobilizing employees around CSR and a vector of permanent progress for the company towards its suppliers and customers. This is the reason why the developers are constantly developing the “green” offer of CDS Groupe. Today, we talk about responsible business marketplace.
